Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on the 12th of November, 1961 within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and has the record of being recognized with 10/10 scores at an Olympic performance. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics instructor, who later became the coach for Comaneci and first became aware of Comaneci at the age of six. In 1969, she competed in the Romanian Junior Championships and placed 13th. She was awarded the championship in 1970. Her first ever international contest in 1972, she came out on top having won three golds. At her first competition as a senior, in 1975 she beat out Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva, a five-time European champion winning four gold and one silver medal. In 1976 she became the world's first woman to use a backwards-double salto to dismount from parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Carol Wayne's journey into the realm of entertainment began in her teens. Together with her twin sister Nina Wayne, she joined traveling entertainment shows called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a United States citizen, born on the 6th of September, 1942, in Chicago Illinois. Carol started her professional career as an entertainer when she was in her teenage years. Her first professional gig was figure skating along with Nina Wayne, her younger sister as part of traveling entertainment shows Ice Capades. Ice Capades was a show that featured ice-skating with actors.
