Selena Quintanilla Perez is an American singer. As being a Texan singer, her music had a great deal of success. Her birth date was 16 April 1971 in Lake Jackson Texas. Although she was born in the United States and her first spoken language was English her first language was English, she always sang in Spanish. Selena was raised by the most loving and joyful family of Hispanic origin. Selena's father, Abraham Quintanilla, was also a musician. However, his music did not receive the same recognition as his daughter. As the family members of Selena's realized her talent was exceptional and wanted to help her, they made every effort to ensure that she took advantage and develop her gifts. Selena was able to begin singing with her brothers at the father's bar once she and her family learned the talent she was truly gifted with. The group she formed with her brothers was referred to by the name of Selena along with the Dinos. The group formed in 1984. released their first single, My First Recordings.
